| FSC and PEFC
Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) produces certificates for all its timber to verify that it is taken from a sustainable source. It is a stakeholder owned company which promotes sustainable forests. In 12 years, 84 million hectares, in 82 countries have been certified by FSC, therefore it has been able to set international standards, to not only help the forests but also the people who rely on them to live.
PEFC stands for the Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification. It was founded in 1999 as an independent, non-profit, non-governmental organisation. PEFC labels gives the assurance that all the timber is sourced from a sustainable forest. PEFC is the worlds largest resource of certified timber, covering 200 million hectares of certified forests.
Ling Joinery is committed to helping the environment, that is why all our hardwood comes with a FSC certificate and all our softwood comes with a PEFC certificate.
